Statement The
Parties signing (hereafter: the Signatories) this charter intend to co-operate
with the aim of supporting a sustainable development of tourism in Kaliningrad
Region in the framework of the adopted УState Program for Development of
Tourism and Recreation in Kaliningrad Region for 2002-2006Ф and international

Objectives The
Signatories will co-operate to achieve the following objectives: Ј
Create a partnership network for definition of joint aims; Ј
Create conditions for development of sustainable tourism in Kaliningrad

Promote dissemination of concepts and support practical activities

identify the indicators to monitor and measure the progress of the Charter

objectives, extension and strengthening of existing relations and development of
activities relating to sustainable tourism. 4.2.
Development
product: Development
of new sustainable tourism products will go along with the work on the Charter.
The starting point will be the package of pilot projects (Annex 1). 4.3.
Marketing: The
Network will develop marketing strategy, create a program for sustainable
tourism development and implement it through network activities, set up
consulting centers and create a web-site on Internet. 5.
International Co-operation and Funding The
Network will actively promote international co-operation in the field of
sustainable tourism. The Partners within the network will implement the
following programs in the Baltic area: УDestination-21Ф, УBaltics-21Ф, УRecreation
Place 21Ф, УState
Program for Development of Tourism and Recreation in Kaliningrad Region for
2002-2006Ф. These programs will be implemented on the basis of co-financing. 6.
